The YGN overseas technical tour for 2010 will be providing the opportunity to learn more about the nuclear industry in Sweden. Over 40% of Swedish electricity is generated by the nuclear sector and attention is currently turning to removing political obstacles to new build. With a world leading position on the management of used fuel and positive public opinion there is a bright future for nuclear.

The tour is scheduled to take place from Monday 18th October to Friday 22nd October and the preliminary programme (TBC with our host companies) includes:

  • Monday 18th October
    • Presentation on Swedish New Build at GE Offices in Stockholm
