YGN Speaking Competitions
The
YGN are hosting speaking competitions in association with regional branches
throughout 2013. The purpose of these events is to encourage the
development of the next generation of young public speakers and provide the
opportunity to celebrate their success.
The culmination of the regional "heats" is the national speaking competition final held in Birchwood on the
18th
July 2013. The YGN's vision
for our nationwide speaking competition is to bring together a cross section of
people in the nuclear industry to network and then to enjoy an evening's
entertainment where the UK's best YGN public speaking talent will be showcased.
Our aims for this event are:
- The YGN speaking comp as a whole should be about encouraging and developing the next generation of confident young public speakers and celebrating their success.
- The national final will bring many people together providing excellent networking which is essential in helping us push the industry forward.
- The event will reward excellence and showcase talent.
