The YGN's Introduction to Safety & Regulation gives you an excellent opportunity to learn more about how industries are regulated to ensure safety during operations and decommissioning. This 2 day technical seminar aims to give attendees a wider view of the industry than they will get from within their own organisation.

It is also a key opportunity for young Nuclear Professionals to network. The seminar is hosted by Magnox at the Wylfa site on Anglesey and by Coleg Menai conference centre llangefni.

As well as an excellent range of technical presentations there are two tours as part of the seminar. The first will be the chance to see what happens during an emergency situation such as a nuclear core shutdown. Delegates will get a chance to run the scenario from the training simulator at the Wylfa site and also see the emergency arrangements in action. The second activity will be a workshop based and groups will get a chance to get their hands dirty on a rig which demonstrates the need to understand and follow regulations in a real life environment.   The event DRAFT Programme can be found here.
