Join the Nuclear Institute
The NI is a professional Institution and Learned Society. This enables us to offer a range of membership grades to meet your requirements.
For those seeking recognition for their professional status within the nuclear industry the following grades carry with them post nominals and the opportunity to become registered with the Engineering Council (ECUK)
- Fellow (FNucI)
- Member (MNucI)
- Associate Member (AMNucI)
- Engineering Technician (TNucI)

We also offer membership for those who have an interest in the sector or are starting on their careers within the nuclear industry. For those people we offer:

- Graduate Membership
- Student Membership
Learned Members, Graduate Members, Student Members and Company Members can join on-line by clicking here. You can choose to pay on-line or offline by cheque or credit card. Should you wish, you can also pay for subsequent years membership via a Direct Debit payment, but you must download and complete this form at least 3 months before the end of your membership year.
Through our education and training activities and by providing opportunities for networking, the NI is able to assist its members in progressing through the membership grades as their careers develop.
Also, the NI welcomes support from companies within the industry via the company membership scheme, the details of which can be found here. You can apply using the application form or on-line here.
Membership will last for a calendar year from the date on which you joined. You will be sent a reminder two months before your membership requires renewal.
