The YGN Excellence Prize for Newcomers to the Nuclear Industry is specifically designed to recognise newcomers into the industry (people entering the industry within the last 5 years) that have gone above and beyond the roles required of them. There is an emphasis on the individual's achievement to promote the nuclear industry and fulfilment of the YGN objectives. The award is an attempt to recognise these individuals and their accomplishments over their brief time within the industry.

The YGN welcomes nominations from individuals (self nomination) and organisations.  The award brief which includes details on how to enter can be downloaded here.  The application form is available to download here. This years applications are currently being assessed and the winner will be announced at the YGN Dinner.

The prize for winning the award includes:

• £400 prize money;
• An article on them / their organisations contribution to the YGN in the Nuclear Future magazine;
• A free place on any "YGN Presents" event of their choice during 2013;
• Invitation to the YGN Annual Dinner in 2012 where the prize will be awarded;
• Consideration will be given to the individual joining the YGN Committee to shape the path the YGN take going forward into 2013 and beyond;
• Prize winners trophy.
